Pages in Time Sketch

Hello all!!! Hope this week is going well for you. Here is some DT work I did for over at Pages In Time. This is my take on Becky's March 31st sketch. You should come over to PIT and play with us. The site has some awesome sketches and challenges going on right now. Here I used the Prima Madeline collection and the flower is from a tut from Lisa Gregory (starsailor). I also did some fussy cutting and misting but you can barely see that. So I have more but out of time. My dd just called and she ran out of gas so I need to go.......teenagers....someone has to love em!!!!!

Pages in Time Sketch card

Hello and hope all is well!! I made this for a sketch challenge over at Pages In Time. You should come over and play along. We have some really talented ladies on the DT team and I am lucky to work with them!! This card consists of a scarf I found at the thrift store, thread, pearls and mulberry paper. The big flower is the scarf. I just cut different size petals and glued them together. I love the shabby chic look and that is what I was going for. So I do have some new stuff to enter so my blog will be busy this week. As always I appreciate who ever stops by. Hope you enjoy the week.

Otter Pop

Hello and welcome!! I have some good news..... I made the design team over at Pages in Time. I am excited about that. This will be my first time on a design team so looking forward to getting my feet wet in this new avenue!!! I made this layout with almost all Prima product. All the papers I used are from the Annalee collection. This is a picture of my grand daughter in our back yard eating an otter pop and playing in the water. I used a chippie from 3tailscraft, painted, inked and glittered it up. I heat embossed a feather. I handmade the big flower and the other flowers are all from Prima. Don't ya just love their products!! I always like to use a picture from a childrens book with a sentence from the page I cut!! I just think it's cute on a kid layout. Thank you so much for looking and have a great week!!

Shabby week!!

Good morning friends!! I was very lucky to get in a shabby week. I love trying my hand t the shabby style. I get a lot of my inspiration at Paulien van den Bosch's gallery and blog. She does amazing work. You can find her blog here.
So I made this card for a challenge and also to have on hand. The challenge was to use a provided image and do your best and this is what I came up with.

Paulien is doing a tag a month and I decided to play along with that so I will do my best to keep up. This is my take on her March tag. I do not like to copy exactly, never have. So instead of butterflies I used some laser cut chipboard from 3tailscraft and you can find their link on the right hand side of my blog. Just look for the cat. Well off to hopefully create some more. Happy hump day!!!

"True Love" my parents

Hello again...This time I made a layout of my parents before they were married. So these pics were probably taken in 1942. I used a technique on the feathers I found on CRAFTYSPRINKLES blog on her layout called "17". You can find her blog here. She used a melting pot for her feathers and they are awesome. I do not have a melting pot so I used extra thick embossing powder. It really makes the feathers turn out cool. I also hand made the two tone flowers. This layout is for a challenge using navy, khaki and white colors with a ticket and metal embellies. So there you have it thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!!!

A gift for my friend downunder !!

Hello all....Yes another horse project. My fav!!!! Well I made this for a friend of mine who lives in Brisbane, Australia. She asked me to make something from the heart and something I really enjoyed making. SO she got a horse!!! I found this image on the internet but I do not remember where. The papers I used are from DCWV and are the Old World Stack. Love those papers. The flower is handmade by me. The believe stamp is from prima,  the butterfly is from 3tailscraft they are on the side of my blog and they have awesome chipboard shapes and the swirl is from a Tim Holtz die cut. I also added some trim and glued on some black pearls. Well I am up late and decided to post this. Thank you so much for visiting!!! See ya next time!
